1. Your account
1-1. Signing in
There are no passwords. Open Sign in and choose one of two ways:
- Email me a sign-in link. Enter your email address and we send you a link. It is valid for 15 minutes. The email subject is
Your Kirarity Travel sign-in link. - Continue with Google.
The sign-in page reminds you which method you used last time, so pick the same one — otherwise you may end up with a second account.
Nothing arrived? Check your spam folder, then use Request a new link on the confirmation page. Sign-in links work only once and only for the person who receives them, so do not forward them.
1-2. Your profile
Open Settings to fill in your details.

Display settings
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Language | The language this site is shown in |
| Time zone | Times are shown in this zone. Kyoto time (JST) by default |
| Display currency | For display only — payments are always processed in Japanese yen |
Because we charge in yen, your card issuer converts the amount at their own rate. The figure on your statement may differ slightly from the display currency estimate.
1-3. Your photo
Settings → Your photo lets you add one picture of yourself.
Optional. Your guide uses it to find you at the meeting point on the day. It is never shown publicly.
- Add a photo / Replace photo / Delete photo
- JPEG, PNG or WebP. Drag and drop works too
- HEIC photos cannot be uploaded. Convert to JPEG first (on iPhone: Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible)
1-4. The verified badge (optional)
Settings → Identity verification lets you add a verified badge to your account.
Adding a verified badge helps your guide recognise you. It is optional and Kirarity covers the cost.
- Press Start verification. You are taken to Stripe, our verification provider, where you photograph an identity document and take a selfie.
- Verification runs on Stripe. Kirarity never stores your document.
- The status shows as Not verified, In review, Verified, or Could not verify, with Attempts left underneath.
You get two attempts. If both fail, the screen says you have used all verification attempts — contact Kirarity if you still need a badge.
You do not need the badge to book or travel. Prices and availability are the same either way.
1-5. Your payment history
Settings → Payment history lists what you have paid and what has been refunded.
Kirarity is the seller of your tour and charges you directly. Card details are held by Stripe, our payment provider — you choose or change the card during checkout.
There is no saved-card list to manage here. You pick or enter a card each time you pay, on Stripe's secure checkout page.
